chapter 12: a graveled robin

good evening people. it's still a full moon out there. how do you do?

it's a silly question to ask because i'm not doing so good myself. for those of you who know out there, i'm doing so-so now. for those of you who don't know what happened, i'm doing so-so. for those of you who wish i had been killed back then, curses you to blazes.

today couldn't have a better start. i woke up ten minutes late, took 5 minutes to drink my daily glass of chocolate milk, and then realised the toilets were all occupied by my family. how late can you get. by the time i left the house i was late as hell. couldn't find a better time to use my mountain bike. and it couldn't get any better.

as i was going down hill, i applied brakes to slow myself down. as usual, my nano was in my ear and i was kind of oblivious to cars, BUT, i was still going damn slow. then it happened, right at the bottom of the hill.

it's a T junction and i was turning right. what luck. a car that moved at the speed of F1 cars zoomed right in front of me. i jammed my brakes like sqeezing hot dogs and sailed over my bike and rolled on the road.

totally ungraceful, and the driver was a hot chick. what luck. i stood up on a shaking right leg, adjusted my crumpler and picked up my bike. totally shaken. i pushed myself and my bike to the side of the road and the lady leaned out of the window and asked, "are you ok?" like hell i was. that's the best question to ask a guy who flew of his bike. well at least my handsome face wasn't scarred (just kidding ^^)

well, i just waved her off and told her i was fine. apart from the fact that i am totally brusied, i'm still alive. here's the funny thing. in that micro-sceond, i had 2 choices to make. one was to zoom past the car and risk everything. and the other was to lose a limb than a life (what a hard choice to make, i mean, i want to be a pilot, and who would marry me if i had no right hand? i want to get married by 25 ya know). so yea, i took the second choice. thankfully, nothings broken. just a very sore backside, scrapped elbow, slightly bruised knee, and a half-maimed right hand. the rest of the journey to ngee ann was probably my most painful one and the quickest one.

by the time i got to the NDT site, i was breaking into cold and hot sweat. automatically, the first question i got from edwin was, "did you run or jog to school?" BACKSIDE! if i had ran to school, i wouldn't even bein this condition. but thanks la edwin. at least you asked. so i had to live the rest of my day in painful ordeal. sitting down or standing up can take as long as 10 seconds. climbing up-stairs never looked this akward. and walking had never been so sexy.

well, that's it for today. wish us all well for common test, some starts tommorrow, and for everyone else, next week. all the best for mugging
